Professor Skurkovich authored more than 300 publications, including 2 books, in Russia, England, Germany, USA and France. He received more than 43 patents in USA and other countries. Professor Skurkovich was invited to come to the United States at the end of 1979 to work at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD.

Most of his research has been in three different fields: oncology (acute leukemia in children), anti-cytokine therapy of autoimmune diseases, and hyperimmune human plasma and immunoglobulins (anti-staphylococcal, anti-pseudomonas, and anti-E. coli).
